myblueplanet – Netzwerk über die Landesgrenzen hinausAm erfolgreichen Netzwerk für den Klimaschutz wird weitergeknüpft. Johann De Ruyck und Kristof Decoster gründen myblueplanet Belgien und präsentieren die Klimaschutzplattform www.myblueplanet.be (online ab 30. Juni). Das Team rund um die beiden initiativen Männer tritt am 7. Juni erstmals in die Öffentlichkeit und zeigt, wie spannend und lustvoll es sein kann, neue Technologien zu entwickeln um CO2 einzusparen. Während der «Braderie» (Jahrmarkt) in der Stadt Tervuren, Belgien ist die neu gegründete Klimaschutzorganisation ausschliesslich mit menschlicher Energie und Solarenergie aktiv. www.myblueplanet.be (online ab 30. Juni) stellt ihre Internetplattform vor. BluePeople, BlueCompanies, BlueOrganisations und BlueCities können sich unter Anleitung direkt vor Ort registrieren. Muskelkraft und Sonnemyblueplanet zeigt interessierten Besucherinnen und Besuchern einen Trailer der technischen Schule GITO, Tervuren zum Thema Solarenergie und auf einem grossen Flachbildschirm die Filme «An inconvenient Truth», «The 11th Hour» und «Planet Earth». Das Spezielle an diesen Präsentationen ist: Der Strom, den die technischen Geräte brauchen, wird einerseits durch menschliche Muskelkraft und andererseits durch die Sonne produziert. Auf dem Prototyp eines speziellen, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Freien Universität Brüssel umgebauten Elektro-Bikes, kann eine einzelne Person einige 100 Watt Strom produzieren. Des Weiteren werden vier Solar-Panels mit 12-Volt-Batterien Strom erzeugen. myblueplanet Belgien freut sich auf den ersten öffentlichen Kontakt mit der Bevölkerung ihres Landes. myblueplanet Schweiz gratuliert zur Gründung, wünscht von Herzen viel Erfolg und hofft, dass sich auch in Belgien möglichst viele Menschen überzeugen lassen, klimaschonend zu leben.

“Braderie” is a big fair and event in the Belgium City Tervuren – most of the participants of the fair will use fossil energy– not so myblueplanet. All activities of myblueplanet during the fair is produced by humans or by solar energy. During the fair, myblueplanet will present the brand new website which will then be accessible and opened for live subscriptions to everyone such as Blue Organisations, Blue Cities, Blue Companies as well as blue people.
Sun and muscular powermyblueplanet will show all visitors of the fair a film trailer produced by the Institute of Technology GITO about solar energy and it’s power. At the same time, the film “an inconvenient truth”, the “11th hour” and planet earth will be shown an big flat screen. It is very astonishing, that all electricity needed to run all technical equipment is produced by humans and the sun. A prototype of an electro bike, developed by the Free University of Brussels, will demonstrate the production of several hundreds watts of electrical power, generated simply by pedalling on the bike. In addition, four solar panels with 12 volt batteries will show how future and renewable energy will be produced. myblueplanet Belgium is very much looking forward to and excited of the first appearance in the Belgium public. Myblueplanet Switzerland congratulates the founders of myblueplanet Belgium and wishes lot of success. Let’s hope that many of Belgian citizens may be inspired to launch their personal efforts for a better climate and a sustainable, respectful acting and living with our natural resources and our one and only planet.
